The full cast for John Wick: Chapter 3 reveals some familiar faces and Wick’s newest enemies. Keanu Reeves revitalized his career in 2014 with the launch of John Wick. The high-octane action film gave him his own franchise to create with directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch. While Leitch moved on to Deadpool 2, Stahelski and Reeves returned for John Wick: Chapter 2. The sequel was a big hit last year and gave Lionsgate complete confidence in moving forward with the franchise.
After the events of Chapter 2, Wick is on the run again when we’ll see him next. He has an entire assassin community after him which will surely up the ante as they look to close the trilogy. However, it was previously unknown who exactly Wick would be facing off with. We do know that Halle Berry is definitely going to be involved. Thanks to the full cast being announced, Wick will certainly have his hands full.
John Wick: Chapter 3 has added a number of people to its cast. As confirmed by the film’s official Twitter account, Anjelica Huston (The Addams Family), Asia Kate Dillon (Orange Is the New Black), Mark Dacascos (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) have joined. Huston will play The Director of the High Table while Dillon plays The Adjudicator. Dacascos will play an assassin named Zero, while Mantzoukas plays another possible assassin in Tick Tock Man. THR has also revealed that The Raid stars Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman have joined as professional killers and that Tiger Hu Chen (Man of Tai Chi) has joined too.
All of these new characters just goes to show how many different threats Wick is going to face in the third film. Huston is easy to see as the woman behind the High Table and Dillon should make for a fun judge for the group. Meanwhile, Reeves is now surrounded by even more formidable action stars. Even though the franchise has thrived on gun-fu, we can only hope that Ruhian and company get to show off their insane martial arts capabilities.
John Wick 3 isn’t without the familiar though. It was previously reported that Laurence Fishburne would return for the threequal and that has now been confirmed. Additionally, Ian McShane and Lance Reddick are returning too, so The Continental will still be involved in some capacity. Despite previous reports that Common and Ruby Rose would reprise their roles too, they are so far not confirmed, neither is Hiroyuki Sanada who was also said to be part of the cast.
